Real Life Issues

by webmaster

As the sea level rises, it will inundate coastal low-altitude areas. For example, the island of Tuvalu in Oceania has been flooded. Three-quarters of the world’s population lives less than 500 kilometers from the coastline. The reduction in land area will greatly affect human habitation and reduce our food supply. If it were 2100 now, we would probably need to extend the land areas to solve human habitation and food shortage problems. Let’s take action now and think about how we can combat climate change! Furthermore, how can we heal the damage brought about by climate change? For example, Tainan Municipal Simen Experimental Elementary School, a coastal school that uses PBL thematic orientation and a STEAM cross-domain learning model, hopes to design a smart floating island model that carefully considers environmental issues of future climate changes and creatively makes living on the sea a viable solution.
